Boat charter in Budva

Budva faces the open Adriatic rather than the bay, so days out here are about beaches, islets and clear water — Sveti Stefan, Sveti Nikola and the coastline south towards Petrovac.

Chartering in Budva

The Budva Riviera is Montenegro's busiest stretch of coast in summer. From the marina it's a short run to Sveti Nikola island (locally 'Hawaii'), the beaches at Jaz and Mogren, and the postcard view of Sveti Stefan.

Because Budva is outside Boka Bay, sea conditions are more exposed than in the inner bay. On breezy days we recommend a larger hull, or repositioning the day into the bay from Tivat instead — we'll tell you honestly which makes sense for your date.

Boka Bay trips from Budva are still possible as a full day: the run north to the Blue Cave and Herceg Novi takes roughly an hour each way at cruising speed.

Charter questions

Can we reach the Blue Cave from Budva?
Yes, as a full-day trip — around an hour each way. On short half days we usually suggest staying on the Budva Riviera.
Can we stop at Sveti Stefan?
You can cruise past and swim nearby; the islet itself is a private resort and landing is not permitted.
Is the sea rougher in Budva?
It can be. Budva is open coast rather than sheltered bay, so on windy days a bigger boat or a Boka Bay itinerary is the better call.
