Luštica peninsula
The Blue Cave
A sea cave on the outer coast of the Luštica peninsula where sunlight refracts off a white seabed and turns the water an intense electric blue. Reachable only by boat, and best in the morning.

Inner Boka Bay
Perast & Our Lady of the Rocks
A small baroque town beneath Mount Sveti Ilija with two islets offshore: Our Lady of the Rocks, an artificial island built up over centuries, and St George, a natural islet with a Benedictine monastery.

Mamula & the submarine tunnels
At the mouth of Boka Bay sits Mamula, a circular 19th-century Austro-Hungarian fortress on its own island, with the tunnels cut for Yugoslav navy submarines nearby on the Luštica shore.

Inner Boka Bay
Kotor
A fortified medieval town at the deepest point of Boka Bay, backed by a mountain wall and city fortifications climbing to San Giovanni. The whole area is UNESCO-listed.

Outer coast
Luštica & Žanjice
The Luštica peninsula separates Boka Bay from the open Adriatic. Its outer shore holds the clearest water in the region — Žanjice, Mirište and a string of small pebble coves.

Sveti Stefan & the Budva Riviera
South of Boka Bay the coast opens up: Budva's beaches and nightlife, the island of Sveti Nikola offshore, and the fortified islet of Sveti Stefan connected to the mainland by a narrow causeway.
